As I am sure any of you who are regulars to my blog will have noticed is that I’ve added a new revenue source to my blog recently.
infolinks is in-text advertising that is great because it doesn’t take up advertisement space and it is super easy to setup.
Within about 10-minutes (I took longer than the 1-minute setup they boast because I customized my links) I was able to get it fully setup (after my account was approved in 1-Business day!
I now can earn money every time a person clicks on my Google Adsense ad blocks or if anyone clicks on the blue double underlined links which are the new infolinks.
Why Should You Add InfoLinks To Your Website?
Because it is easy to setup, pays well, doesn’t take up advertisement space, and you can diversify your revenue streams. And diversifying your revenue streams is critical for a blogger who wants to make money online.
You need to make money in multiple ways just in case for some reason or another you lose one of your revenue streams. If that happens you can just rely on the other streams and get new ones.
The issue most people have nowadays (or for as long as I care to remember or know about) is that they rely 100% on your full-time job as their source of revenue. What happens if they get fired from their job? They have no income whatsoever. And that is a big issue!
Now your website / blog is currently making money one way or another and it only has one source of revenue. If you get banned, the earnings drop, or anything else happens you will no longer make any money from your blog. Same issue.

Can You Customize The Links?
Well yes you can!
You can change everything from the underline style, to the color, to the frequency in which keywords are underlined. All you need to do is go in to the advanced section and set that all up.
If you go with the default you’ll see green double underlined ads that will show up with the greatest frequency.
I recommend if you have time to customize it to the way you want but keep the double line so it doesn’t confuse your readers with normal hyperlinks.
You can also exclude sections of your website from having the ads placed in them. I’ve done this on my About and Contact pages.
Summary
Infolinks is a great new revenue source I discovered that I think you should try if you are interested. You’ll earn some extra cash from your blog and not have to use up any advertising space.
It’s a win-win situation. And if for any reason you don’t like them just take them back off your blog and go back to the way it was before!
Update
For those of you who have made noticed I recently just took infolinks back off my website. This is in no way a reflection of their company or how their ads perform.
They worked great on my website and were super easy to setup. I actually still have infolinks on a number of my other websites I’ve developed. I just decided for the time being to keep it off this blog so I could focus on building a readership first and then add them back in later. I don’t want to distract my readers with too many things at once.
So that is why you no longer see infolinks on my blog. However if you read my other website you will see that they still indeed have infolinks on them.
I definitely recommend you check them out yourself and see how they can improve your earnings online.
